Dr.-Ing. Ihan Martoyo ST, M.Sc., MTS

Ihan Martoyo received his Bachelor (S.T.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1996. His M.Sc. and Dr.-Ing. were from Universitaet Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2000 and 2004. After postdoc activities in Karlsruhe, he joined UPH in 2006. He was the Head of Telecommunication Lab and the Deputy of ICT, UPH until June 2008. He was the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department of UPH from 2008 to 2013.

 

From 1996-1998 he was with a national VSAT services provider company. During his time in Germany, he was involved in research projects funded by the government as well as by multinational telecommunication industries. He also spent one semester as an exchange professor in Kyungsung University, Busan, South Korea in 2007. From Nov 2011 - Jan 2012, he was a visiting researcher in the Communications Engineering Lab, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.

 

His research interests include the air access strategy of mobile communication (3G and 4G) systems, routing algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and the Small World phenomenon.

 

In 2015, Ihan Martoyo received his MTS (Master of Theological Studies) from Duke Divinity School, Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, USA. His interests in theology include New Testament Theology, Postcolonial Issues, and Islamic studies.

 

He is now the Executive Director of CRCD (Center for Research and Community Development) UPH
